2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS at SEMA Autoshow
Based on the 2011 Camaro SS, only 500 sequentially numbered ZL560 and ZL585 cars will be built using any combination of coupe, convertible (when available), manual or automatic transmission equipped cars, all with a 5 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty . Available in any factory color, the Supercharged Camaro’s performance and curb appeal are enhanced by a positive displacement supercharger (similar to the one GM includes with the new ZR-1 Corvette) and highlighted by SLP’s aggressively styled composite hood with functional scoop (design patent pending).
Produced by SLP Performance Parts, Inc. (SLP), and only available through Chevrolet dealerships nationwide, these Supercharged 2011 ZL Camaros offer the all-around performance, handling, braking and head-turning styling true to its distinctive nameplate – in a way that only SLP can provide.
Throughout the Supercharged Camaro’s development process, our objective was to engineer the very highest quality performance, handling and braking improvements that would provide the performance enthusiast with a well balanced package.
Not only will our Supercharged Camaros outperform the competition, they’re built to ensure long-term satisfaction and are covered by SLP’s 5 year/100,000 mile warranty.
The Heart and Soul of SLP’s Supercharged 2011 ZL560/585 Camaros is our 2300 Series TVS, High-Output Supercharger (black finish). It features a unique four-lobe rotor-pack design for higher power and efficiency. This is the same technology offered in the new ZR 1 Corvette supercharger, and provides stump-pulling torque and neck-breaking acceleration. The Supercharger increases the power of the stock L99 (automatic transmission) 6.2L V8 engine at the flywheel from 400 HP to 560 HP and the stock LS3 (manual transmission) 6.2L V8 engine at the flywheel from 426 HP to 585 HP. SLP’s Supercharged 2011 ZL550/575 Camaros are emissions-legal in all 50 states.
To further enhance the Supercharged Camaro ZLengine compartment, we’ve created two OEM-Quality injection molded engine covers with body color accents, that fit on both sides of the supercharger. They include 585HP Supercharged or 560HP Supercharged aluminum badges that feature heat resistant graphics.

2011 Hyundai Elantra brings “fluidic sculpture” to the C segment
The 2011 Elantra may have been one of Hyundai’s worst-kept secrets. Aside from releasing a self-taken spy shot, the Korean automaker already debuted the Elantra in the form of the Avante, the version destined for Hyundai’s home market. Last week, we told you about the new sedan’s ability to achieve 40 miles per gallon on the highway, and finally, we now have the official images and details about the Elantra bound for the U.S. And we must say, it’s quite a looker.
Hyundai has made quite an impression with its “fluidic sculpture” design language, most recently with the updated Tucson crossover and Sonata sedan. The new Elantra’s design is tied to the rest of the family with its strong side character lines, wraparound taillamps and hexagonal grille. We can’t wait to see what it looks like in deep red or black.
As previously reported, the 2011 Elantra will be powered by an all-new 1.8-liter inline-four that produces 148 horsepower and 131 pound-feet of torque. Curiously, Hyundai has not seen fit to utilize its new 1.8-liter mill with direct injection, but the automaker’s North American CEO, John Krafcik, tells us not to rule out the addition of GDI direct injection on future versions of the Elantra. Mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, the Elantra will return a ultra-respectable 28 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway. Hyundai says that 40 mpg is attainable on the full range of Elantra trims, unlike the Chevrolet Cruze and upcoming Ford Focus which need to be optioned a certain way to achieve such a lofty fuel economy figure.
Official trim levels and pricing specifications will be released closer to the sedan’s official debut at the LA Auto Show later this week, and we can expect the Elantra to arrive at dealerships before the end of the year. In the meantime, scroll through our high-res gallery below to see the new Elantra from all angles.

Supercars at the 2010 SEMA Show
Supercars at the 2010 SEMA Show
We’ve showcased many of the major automakers’ one-off customizations specifically for the tuner crowd here at SEMA, but the vast majority of the show is populated by companies specializing in technology, performance upgrades, and of course, wheels. After all, when it comes to beautifully designed supercars, why mess with success by adding a body kit or even more power when you can personalize your go-fast machine with a set of unique, eye-catching wheels.
That said, the SEMA show is chocked full of companies who will sell you incomprehensible amounts of custom wheels, and we’ve pointed out cameras at a slew of supercars riding on modified rollers. See the lot in our high-res image gallery, below.

SEMA Auto Show 2010 Dodge Durango Citadel
Behold the 2011 Dodge Durango Citadel “Black and Tan” – a seven-passenger machine built for what the guys and girls at Mopar call the “distinguished SUV enthusiast.” We’re not sure we’d ever put ourselves under that banner, but this mean-looking people-mover is absolutely our cup of tea. Riding on a set of Mopar lowering springs and some massive, 22-inch custom wheels, the Citadel is the rolling embodiment of understated aggression.
A scant few chrome accents are scattered around the vehicle, including the textured grille up front and the dual exhaust tips out back. Speaking of the exhaust, Corsa pipes help the engine breathe a little better. We’re guessing they also give the Citadel a more commanding sound, too. Check it out for yourself in our gallery of live images.
