Most Expensive Car Koenigsegg
Koenigsegg CCX is the abbreviation for Competition Coupe X, with the X (Roman numeral for ten), commemorating the 10th anniversary of the completion and test drive of the first CC vehicle in 1996. Although the existence of the car was announced earlier, the CCX was first brought in the market on February 2006 at the Geneva Motor Show.
Engineered to comply with the US regulations and with the intention of entering the world market, Koenigsegg CCX with price tag $600,910 seems to be latest super car from Koenigsegg. Designed and manufactured in Angelholm, Sweden, the Koenigsegg CCX is a mid-engine roadster from Swedish car manufacturer to replace Koensigsegg CCR.
Interestingly the CCX took the record from the Mc Laren F1, which gripped the record for over 12 years of 386.7 km/h, set on the 9 km straight track at Wolfsburg, Germany. The car comes in a constant turning motion, which makes the exercise and speed even more satisfactory. The only changes to the engine in comparison to CCR are modified fuel injectors, upgraded fuel lines, piston rings and higher boost settings.
Based on the Ford Modular architecture, the CCX seems 1.61 taller (41 millimeters) than the CCR and can accelerate from stationary to 100km/h in 3.2 seconds. As assessed by Koenigsegg, the car runs with a top speed of 245 miles per hour, and that is why it became the fastest car to complete a lap of the BBC top gear circuit. Meanwhile, designed to run on Octane fuel and to satisfy the Californian emission standards, the Ford Modular engine was replaced by Koenigsegg engine.
Surprisingly, the front bumper of the CCX is designed to be safer in low speed collisions than previous Koenigsegg and the whole body is 3.46 inches longer to comply with the United States’ rear impact regulations. A base model CCX approximately costs US$ 540,000 but adding all optional extras, the CCX costs US$610,910.
